“Giving back to our local communities has always been important to us,” says Darin Ross, founder, president and CEO, FMGI, which has offices in Dallas, Texas; Tampa, Fla. and Albertville, Ala. Vice President of FMGI, Luke Hardman, brought the official Give Back program to fruition. After watching a client make a presentation at its grand opening to a charitable organization, FMGI was inspired to launch its own program. “It is a small way to give back to the communities we serve and support local organizations who are making a difference,” shares Ross.
FMGI’s Give Back Program marks the occasion of a completed major renovation or store opening. The client is invited to choose a local charity, and FMGI, along with the store management, presents an oversized check to the organization’s representatives. “It is a blessing to watching our clients select an organization that has personal meaning to them and their associates,” continues Ross.

“As we celebrate our 15th year in business, we plan to expand our program’s reach and impact even more communities,” states Ross. Last year represented the largest annual contribution to date with FMGI contributing more than $350,000 to 60 charities. Company-wide, FMGI has financially contributed to hundreds of non-profit organizations. Among these, local charities that have been beneficiaries of the program in 2022 are Circle of Friends, The Children’s Haven, North Georgia Angel House, MUST Ministries, Anna Crawford Children’s Center, House of Hope Atlanta, The HOPE Center, Out of the Darkness and Goshen Valley Boys Ranch.
In addition to Give Back donations on behalf of clients, each FMGI office selects a charity of choice to champion throughout the year. Outside of Georgia, beneficiaries include: One Tribe Foundation in Dallas, TX; the Chi-Chi Youth Foundation in Clearwater, Fla as well as Big Oak Ranch and United Way of Marshall County in Alabama.
Growing its Give Back Program is not the only way FMGI is leveling up in 2023. Last year, the firm reached the 100-employee milestone, a notable accomplishment in a time of industry-wide labor shortages, and aims to ensure employee retention by creating an inclusive and rewarding work environment.
“We work hard to create a family-oriented culture built on relationships and a shared goal of delivering client success,” says Ross. Among the many perks are competitive compensation, an outstanding benefits package, exceptional training as well as milestone celebrations, company-wide outings and an employee baseball team.
With job satisfaction a high priority for everyone from administrative staff to executives, all members of the company have a common dedication to delivering excellence and going above and beyond for clients. It’s this attitude that has built trust and prompted repeat business for leading brands, including The Home Depot, Tesla, Walmart, Publix, and more.
