• Lewiston woman charged with felony drug offenses in case involving alleged school-zone violation (dailyfly.com) — A Lewiston woman has been charged with multiple felony drug offenses after police say they found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana concentrate, and hydrocodone during a traffic stop near McGhee School. Detectives allege some activity occurred within 1,000 feet of the school, triggering a potential sentencing enhancement as the case proceeds in Nez Perce County District Court.
   

• Prominent retired tire dealer dies. His Idaho chain included Boise-area stores (idahostatesman.com) — Longtime Lewiston businessman and civic leader Frank C. Bruneel, who opened the first Bruneel Tire Service on G Street and served on the Lewiston School Board and Planning and Zoning Commission, has died at 90. He later became a state legislator and transportation leader, but many locals will remember his tire stores’ jingle and decades of community involvement.
   

• Idaho gas prices drop below $3 for first time since early 2024 (dailyfly.com) — Lewiston drivers are now paying about $2.91 per gallon for regular gas, as Idaho’s statewide average has finally dipped below $3 for the first time since early 2024.
