Residents are urged to plan sober rides using local options like Uber, Lyft, Ride TFT, taxis, or friends to avoid arrests and keep roads safer during holiday celebrations.

Twin Falls County builds new jail to address overcrowding crisis (kivitv.com) — Twin Falls County is building a new 160-bed jail on Wright Avenue to relieve severe overcrowding at the downtown facility, where inmate numbers have long exceeded capacity. Boise , Caldwell school districts to take part in study to prevent teen suicide (idahonews.com) — Twin Falls School District will join a major five-year study starting in the 2026–27 school year to find which school-based program best prevents teen suicide. The BRITE Trial will compare two proven mental health curricula in 20 Idaho schools, addressing Idaho’s especially high teen suicide rate and aiming to give local educators clearer guidance on what works best for students here.
