• Backing the blue: Crafter donates customized Christmas ornaments to TFPD (idahostatesman.com) — Twin Falls residents working with Eleventh Avenue Designs recently surprised every Twin Falls Police Department employee, including K9s, with personalized handmade Christmas ornaments. The mother-daughter crafting team spent hours perfecting about 125 pieces as a small gesture of appreciation for local law enforcement, which officers say will be treasured on their holiday trees. 
• Quick-thinking girl thwarts kidnap try (lmtribune.com) — A man identified in court records as being from Twin Falls is charged in Washington after an 11-year-old girl escaped an alleged kidnapping attempt by fighting back and running for help. The suspect has pleaded not guilty, faces multiple felony counts, and is scheduled for trial in February.
