Historic moment: Twin Falls County opens first new courthouse in nearly 30 years (kivitv.com) — Twin Falls County has opened a new $30 million, 70,000-square-foot courthouse in Twin Falls, adding 10 modern courtrooms, better security, and improved technology after decades of overcrowding. The building will host state Supreme Court hearings without renting outside venues and includes secure inmate transfer routes. Renovations to the old courthouse will begin soon as Phase Two of the project.
   

2. 5A All-Idaho football team: Best of the best from the state's second-largest class (idahostatesman.com) — Twin Falls football fans can celebrate as lineman Dillon Spenser and defensive back Dalton Carter earned first-team spots on the 5A All-Idaho football team. The statewide list, chosen by coaches and published by the Idaho Statesman, recognizes top players from Bishop Kelly, Hillcrest, Twin Falls, and other schools after a standout season.

Idaho schools to join $16M study on adolescent suicide prevention (idahonews.com) — Twin Falls students in grades 8–10 will be part of a major five-year suicide-prevention study testing two proven school-based programs across Idaho and several other states. Starting in the 2026–27 school year, Twin Falls and other districts will help researchers compare which approach best reduces suicidal behavior and supports teen mental health, guiding future decisions for schools and policymakers.

South Idaho Police Still Seek Answers In 2008 Rupert Murder (1035kissfmboise.com) — Detectives are again asking Magic Valley residents, including those in Twin Falls, for tips in a 2008 Rupert murder that happened just 44 miles east of town. A husband was killed and his wife badly injured, and investigators still need information from anyone who might know who was responsible.
