ILLINOIS — One Illinoisan is much richer after a million-dollar lottery win this week.
The winner purchased a Lotto ticket online that matched all six numbers in the Monday drawing for Lotto Million 1's $1 million prize. The winning numbers were 8, 16, 20, 25, 42 and 46.
Lotto is an Illinois-only game played three times weekly on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Its jackpot as of Wednesday was $2.6 million.
