2 IL Lotto Players Score $2.1M Combined In Winning Weekend

Two lucky Illinois Lottery players won a combined $2.1 million over the weekend.

An online player won a record-breaking $1.55 million playing Illinois Super Jackpot, the largest prize in the game’s history, according to the Illinois Lottery. Illinois Super Jackpot is a $20 progressive fast play game.

The second winner scored $550,000, matching all five numbers — 3, 8, 15, 16 and 39 — on Sunday’s Lucky Day Lotto midday drawing with a ticket bought at MK Simplemart in the 8100 block of South Pulaski Avenue in Chicago. The store will receive a bonus of 1 percent of the prize amount, or $5,500, for selling the winning ticket.
