2023 Summer Festival Guide For Chicago, Suburbs
From neighborhood festivals featuring food and live music to Lollapalooza and Taste of Chicago, this summer has something for everyone.
ILLINOIS — Illinois residents love summertime for a variety of reasons, but at the end of the day, everyone tends to agree that the warmer summer months make winters in the region worth bearing.
From neighborhood festivals featuring live music, focused on food and drink, or celebrating various towns and neighborhoods in the area, Chicago and surrounding suburbs offer no shortage of summertime entertainment.
In Chicago, two of the city's summer staples —Lollapalooza and Taste of Chicago — have been pushed back to accommodate the upcoming NASCAR street race that will overtake the downtown area the weekend of the July 4 holiday. But in most cases, events celebrating all things summer around the greater Chicago area will remain on schedule as they have in the past with a few exceptions.
