2025 Car Shows, Cruise Nights: Illinois Round-Up

ILLINOIS, IL – It's summer, the time for cruising and checking out car shows.

Many Chicago suburbs enjoy such shows, some regularly throughout the summer. These events offer other features, including live entertainment.

Check out our guide below, and head out to your favorite car show this summer:

COOK COUNTY

• Hometown: VFW Cruise Night, Hometown VFW, 9092 S. Main St., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., first, third and fourth Wednesdays this summer.
• Summit: Father's Day Car Show, Summit Park District, 5700 S. Archer Road, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 14.
• Tinley Park: Cruise Nights, along Oak Park Avenue from 171st Street to 173rd Place, 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays from June 3 to Sept. 9 (except for Aug. 5).

DUPAGE COUNTY

• Downers Grove: Moose Cruise Nights, Loyal Order of Moose Downers Grove Lodge 1535, 1030 Warren Ave., 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays, June 6 to Aug. 22.
• Elmhurst: Friday Cruise Night, Burger King, 176 E. Butterfield Road, Fridays through October.
• Burr Ridge: Burr Ridge Car Show, Burr Ridge Village Center, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 4.
• Naperville: Downtown Naperville Classic Car Show, 9 a.m. to noon June 14.
• Lisle: Downtown Lisle Car Shows, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., third Saturdays from June to September.
• Lombard: Cruise Nights and Summer Concert, downtown, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays from June 14 to Aug. 23.
• Westmont: 2024 Cruisin' Nights & Street Fair, downtown, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays from June through August.

LAKE COUNTY

• Lake Bluff: Lake Bluff History Museum Auto Show, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. June 21.
• Libertyville: Car Fun on 21, Church and Cook streets in downtown, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., third Wednesdays through Sept. 17.
• Wauconda: Cruise Nights, Main Street in downtown, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., third Tuesdays from June to September.

McHENRY COUNTY

• Union: Illinois Railway Museum Vintage Transport Extravaganza, 7000 Olson Road, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3. Admission is $20 for adults; $18 for seniors; and $16 for children.
• Crystal Lake: Struttin' Ur Stuff Car Show, 5220 Northwest Highway, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 14.
• Lake in the Hills: Summer Sunset Fest Classic and Custom Car Show, Sunset Park, 5 p.m. Aug. 29.
• Cary: Cruise Nights, downtown, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays from June 4 to Aug. 13, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug 20 and 27.

WILL COUNTY

• New Lenox: Cruise the Commons, Veterans Parkway, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., third Tuesdays through September.
• Frankfort: Frankfort Car Club's Cruise Nights, across the street from Trail's Edge Restaurant, 20 Kansas St., downtown, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday nights from June 2 through Sept. 22.
• Lockport: Cruisin' Into Lockport, Ninth and State streets in downtown, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays from June 2 to Aug. 25.
• Manhattan: Manhattan Cruise Nights, hosted by Showcase Classics, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. second Wednesday of the month through September, Wabash Street parking lot in downtown.
• Homer Glen: Lemont Classic Car Club Cruise Nights, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 4 at Konow's Corn Maze, 16849 S. Cedar Road; on Sept. 11 and Sept. 25, they will be held at American Legion Post 18, 15052 Archer Ave., Lockport.
• Joliet: Babe's Hot Dogs Cruise Nights, 2600 W. Jefferson St., 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays during the summer.
• Plainfield: Cruise Nights, Des Plaines Street near Station One Smokehouse entrance, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays from June 3 to Aug. 19.
