3 Deputies Shot After Hourslong Barricade In Rural Ogle County: Police
A person believed to be the shooter was also struck by gunfire, police said.

OGLE COUNTY, IL — Three deputies and a person barricaded inside a house were shot and injured Wednesday in rural Ogle County, according to police.
A family member called authorities shortly after 8:30 a.m. and reported a person had threatened suicide and homicide in a house in the 400 block of Wild Rice Lane in the Lost Lake area near Dixon, Sheriff Brian VanVickle said at an afternoon press conference streamed by WTVO.
A SWAT team was activated shortly before 9:20 a.m. and hostage negotiators tried to make contact, but, after 50 phone calls went unanswered, emergency personnel attempted to enter the house around noon, according to VanVickle.

Illinois State Police will investigate the officer-involved shooting and more information is expected in the coming days, VanVickle said.
