4 Inches Of Snow Possible, Winter Weather Advisories Issued For Chicago Area
The winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday.
ILLINOIS — All of the Chicago area is under a winter weather advisory into Friday morning, as another round of snow is expected, according to the National Weather Service.
The winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday.
The weather service said snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible, with isolated totals up to 4 inches. Snow will be dry and fluffy, but travelers should plan on slippery road conditions.

The snow will taper off and end late Thursday, the weather service said. However, there will still be blowing and drifting snow into Friday morning, which could cause hazardous conditions.
"The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute, particularly in open and outlying areas," the weather service said.

Cold temperatures are also still expected on Friday, and wind chills could be as low as 5 to 20 below zero. The below zero wind chills will stick around through Sunday morning, before milder temperatures return next week, according to the weather service.
Monday looks to have a high of 34 degrees, as well as a chance of a wintry mix during the afternoon.
