4 Tornadoes Confirmed In Illinois Saturday: National Weather Service

"Short-lived" EF-0 tornadoes touched town in DuPage County and other parts of Illinois.

ILLINOIS — After two rounds of severe storms hit the Chicago area on Saturday, the National Weather Service Chicago confirmed that two EF-0 tornadoes — the weakest on the scale of tornado strength — and one tornado of "unknown intensity" touched down across the region. A fourth tornado was also confirmed in Central Illinois by the National Weather Service in Lincoln.

An EF-0 tornado with 75 mph winds hit Oak Brook, touching down near the Hilton Hotel and Willow Crest Golf Club, ending in Central Park, the NWS said. A security camera at the Oak Brook Park District's Family Recreation Center caught footage of the wind whipping through a parking lot as the tornado hit the nearby park.

Residents reported snapped trees near the Hilton and golf course in Oak Brook, as well as as a damaged outbuilding near the hotel.
