50 MPH Wind Gusts Could Impact Trick-Or-Treating In Illinois
Bundle up, and tie down those Halloween decorations!
ILLINOIS — The weather may make trick-or-treating a little bit difficult as chilly temperatures and peak wind gusts of 50 mph are expected for Halloween.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of the Chicago area, including Cook, Kane, DuPage, McHenry, Lake and northern Will counties. The wind advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, as wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, the weather service said. Tree limbs could be blown down, and even a few power outages are possible.

"It will feel much colder than what we've experience the past few days, so be sure to bundle up," the weather service said on its Facebook.
