Fire Weather Watch, High Winds Monday In IL
The weather service said any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
ILLINOIS — Unseasonably mild temperatures, low humidity and winds up to 50 mph are the cause of a fire weather watch, which is issued for Monday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, the watch is in effect from noon to 6 p.m. Monday for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, La Salle, Kendall, Grundy and Will counties.

The high for Monday is 47 degrees, and winds could gust as high as 50 mph during the late morning and afternoon, according to the weather service. The strongest winds will be near and north of the Interstate 88 corridor.
The mild temperatures will continue through the week, which will have a high of 48 on Tuesday, 43 on Wednesday, 53 on Thursday and 44 on Friday.

The week looks mostly dry, with a chance of rain on Friday and Friday night. Breezy winds will continue through the week as well, although the windiest day will be Monday, according to the weather service.
