'Beautiful' Late-Summer Weekend In Store For Chicago Area
Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s all weekend.
ILLINOIS — "Beautiful weather" is expected this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s the entire weekend, and weather should be dry and sunny.
If you're headed to any beaches in northwest Indiana, swimmers should be aware of a high swim risk through Saturday morning, the weather service said.
There will be high waves and hazardous boating conditions, including at the Indiana Dunes. Illinois beaches also have a moderate swim risk through Saturday morning.

The weather service advised staying out of the water, obeying posted signs, and avoiding piers, breakwalls and lakeshore trails.

The high for Friday will be 78, 77 on Saturday, 80 on Sunday and 81 on Monday, according to the current forecast.

Next week's temperatures look to hover around the low 80s, and the weather service currently lists a limited thunderstorm risk for Wednesday and Thursday.
