ILLINOIS — Mother Nature has given the Chicago area a taste of springtime weather already this year, but reliably warm weather — known to locals as patio season — has yet to arrive.

But the owners and operators of many of the local craft breweries that offer cozy beer gardens and patios for their patrons to enjoy around the greater Chicago area know that at some point, warmer temperatures will settle in to stay.

Sometimes chilly conditions haven’t stopped some brew pubs and taprooms from opening their outdoor space, allowing bundled-up patrons willing to brave the cold to enjoy an adult beverage or two with friends. But as forecasts become more favorable in the days and weeks ahead, more beer lovers will make their way to their favorite neighborhood watering hole to enjoy the weather and a cold frosty beer.
