Blustery, Unseasonably Cold Temperatures For Weekend: IL Weather
The weekend could kick off with scattered overnight snow showers before cold air and winter-like conditions stick around Saturday, Sunday.
CHICAGO — After a weather week filled with seemingly everything Mother Nature has to dish out this time of year, the weekend will continue to produce less-than-favorable conditions for anyone in search of spring.
The National Weather Service is forecasting blustery conditions for the weekend. Although the sun will be present on both Saturday and Sunday, temperatures are expected to remain unseasonably cold, forecasters predict.

Despite predicted snow squalls for Friday never showing up, the National Weather Service is forecasting that flurries could be in the mix overnight heading into Saturday. Temperatures will remain below freezing, and gusty conditions blended with periods of snow showers are possible, the National Weather Service said.

Flurries will remain in the forecast for Saturday morning, with partly cloudy skies keeping the temperatures in the 30s. Temperatures could drop into the high teens overnight into Sunday, and the continued unseasonably cold weather remains on tap for Sunday when the sun will shine but temperatures will struggle to make it to 40, forecasters predict.
Conditions stay dry to start the workweek, but temperatures will remain in the low 40s before a chance of rain returns Tuesday and into Tuesday night.
