ILLINOIS —'Tis the season to spread holiday cheer and feel the joy of giving loved ones that something special. If you're still looking for presents to leave under the tree, you've still got some time left— and Chicago-area shopping centers are accommodating last-minute Christmas shoppers with extended holiday hours.

While nearly every area shopping center is closed on Christmas Day — Sunday, Dec. 25 — so employees can enjoy the holiday with their loved ones, some retailers and grocery stores do have Christmas Day hours and many area movie theaters will be open.
