Comedian Trevor Noah To Headline Illinois State Fair Grandstand Slate
The host of "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central will perform on the main stage on Aug. 19, two days before the state fair wraps up.

SPRINGFIELD, IL — Comedian Trevor Noah may typically be used to a late-night audience but will have the chance to see how he does with the fair crowd.
Noah, the host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, will headline the Illinois State Fair and will perform on the main stage on Aug. 19, fair officials announced on Friday.
Tickets for Noah’s performance will go on sale on June 23, less than a month after the South African-born comedian who recently hosted the annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner will take the stage in Springfield later this summer.

“To be able to secure a big name in comedy to round out the 2022 grandstand lineup is something we’re really excited about,” Fair Manager Rebecca Clark said in a news release on Friday. “This is one of our most diverse lineups in years with multiple musical genres represented, a popular comedian, and harness racing to kick it all off. We cannot wait to welcome fairgoers in August.”
Tickets for Noah’s performance range in price from $43-$110. Tickets for all fair performances are available at the Illinois State Fair Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com. Fairgoers are reminded that Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticket broker for the Illinois State Fair.
