Plainfield resident Pam Van Tassel was at Starved Rock State Park recently for a wedding and noticed a "fat" bumblebee joyously hovering and drinking from a patch of cornflowers that are located near the park lodge.

Bees were also buzzing around Bridgeview as Karen Johnson found this one pollinating on a butterfly weed in her yard.
