ILLINOIS —After a cloudy weekend with patchy rain in some areas, it'll likely be a dry week ahead, with the next chance for rain on Friday, the National Weather Service said.

The National Weather Service is warning of dangerous or even "life-threatening" swimming conditions, with waves up to 6 feet, along Lake Michigan through Monday morning.

NWS is calling for "little to no precipitation for most of the week," with the next chance for rain on Friday.

Meanwhile, temperatures will dip slightly below normal, with temps in the mid-70s to low 80s throughout the work week.
