Elevated Fire Risk On Monday With Warm, Breezy Weather Expected
Monday will have a high of 67 degrees, and there is a chance that showers could move in to the area on Monday night.
ILLINOIS — The work week will kick off with a warm, breezy start on Monday as highs in the upper 60s are expected. There is also an elevated fire danger on Monday afternoon due to the combination of winds and humidity values, the National Weather Service said.
Winds will gust 25 to 35 mph, and afternoon relative humidity values will fall to 20 to 25 percent, which could lead to an increased threat for fire spread, according to the weather service.

Tuesday will have a high of 68 degrees, and rain chances will continue through Tuesday evening. The weather service said there is also a chance for a few storms on Tuesday afternoon.
Temperatures will cool slightly Wednesday after a cold front moves through the area. The high for Wednesday is 56 degrees, and frost is possible late Wednesday into Thursday, the weather service said.

Temperatures will warm back to the 60s to end the week, with a high of 65 on Thursday and a high of 69 on Friday. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected on Friday.
