'Formidable' Warm-Up On The Way For Christmas Day
Fluctuating temperatures take us into the weekend, before a warm-up next week.
Fluctuating temperatures will be the theme of the next few days, before a "formidable warm up" next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday will be colder, with a high of 26 degrees. Wind chills will be in the teens and winds could gust up to 30 mph, according to the current forecast.
Saturday will be a warmer day, with a high of 44 degrees, while Sunday will turn colder again with a high of 32. Temperatures will warm into the 40s and even 50s at the start of the week, according to the current forecast.

"It does look like a more formidable warm up will commence next week, with much above average temperatures poised by Christmas Day," the weather service said on its Facebook.
Right now, the weather service is forecasting a high of 50 on Christmas Eve and a high of 56 on Christmas Day. AccuWeather gives a high of 49 on Christmas Eve, and a high of 58 on Christmas Day.

According to the weather service, the warmest Christmas Day was in 1982, when it was 64 degrees. 2023 was the second-warmest Christmas Day, with a high of 59; followed by the third-warmest in 2019 with 57 degrees.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. Wind chill values as low as -6. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 28 by 5am. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 17. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
SUNDAY: Sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38.
MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.
