Girl Escapes Kidnapper By Slipping Out Of Hoodie: Police

"This is every parent's worse nightmare. A total stranger coming up to a child and attempting to impose his will on them," the sheriff said. But the girl was able to escape the man's grasp by slipping out of her sweatshirt and running, according to police.

Police Dog Finds Girl Who Ran Away From Camp

K9 Odin and his handler, Deputy Savage, found the girl in a wooded area at the camp, police said.

'In God's Hands': Teen Injured In Dirtbike Crash Recovering

The high school junior — a football player standing 6'4" and weighing 210 pounds — endured numerous injuries, including several fractures in his pelvis, significant internal injuries in most of his organs, six broken ribs and cracked vertebra, but both he and his family are grateful he's alive. "All his doctoral staff—the fact that he is so big and so muscular, really protected him, possibly saved his life, kept him from more serious injuries," his dad said.
