In its 10th year, Bernie’s Book Bank and local Goddard Schools have collectively donated more than 250,000 books. Although reading is considered one of the single most important skill a child needs, 61% of low-income families have no books at all in their homes for their children. That’s why Goddard Schools throughout the Chicagoland area are partnering with Bernie’s Book Bank to provide access to books and improve literacy among under-served children.
