Helene's Remnants Will Bring Rain To Chicago Area
It won't rain all weekend, but the best chances of rain are for areas southeast of I-55.
ILLINOIS — A pleasant Thursday is in store before the weather changes on Friday, bringing rain chances to the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service.
Thursday will be dry and sunny, with a high of 81.
"It will turn windier on Friday as Helene approaches the region," the weather service said on its Facebook.

It won't rain all weekend, but there will be chances of rain throughout the weekend.

The high for Friday will be 79 degrees, and winds could gust as high as 40 mph south of Interstate 80. Rain chances will begin Friday night, especially for areas southeast of Interstate 55, according to the weather service.

Saturday will have a high of 77, and it will be breezy. Again, the best chances of rain will be for areas southeast of I-55 on both Saturday and Sunday, the weather service said.
Sunday will have a high of 79.
Temperatures look to cool a bit after Monday, with highs near 70 expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the current forecast.
