Hot, Dry Weather Pattern Continues For IL
The summer warmth, with no chance of widespread rain, will continue through next week.
ILLINOIS — No widespread rain is in the forecast for the foreseeable future for the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service.
A hot and dry weather pattern will continue into next week, and temperatures near 90 degrees are expected this weekend.
According to the weather service forecast, a high of 88 is expected on both Saturday and Sunday. The warm temperatures will continue into the start of the work week, when a high of 88 is also forecast for both Monday and Tuesday.

"If you're enjoying this summer warmth, good news, it will continue through the next couple of weeks," the weather service said on its Facebook.
A change in weather pattern may come late next week into the weekend of Sept. 21-22. However, until then, a "below near or below average precipitation is favored," the weather service said.
