ILLINOIS — A downstate Illinois resident turned $30 into $5 million this week after purchasing a lucky scratch-off lottery ticket at a local grocery store, the Illinois Lottery announced on Wednesday.

The Million $$ Match ticket was sold at a Schnucks grocery store in Savoy, which is located near Champaign. According to lottery officials, Million $$ Match players win big every time they match numbers with any of the winning numbers. Winnings can then be multiplied by hitting on symbols on the scratch-off ticket.

The multi-million dollar win also proved big for the local grocery store, which will receive a cash selling bonus of one percent of the prize amount. For Schnuck’s in Savoy, that means a bonus of $50,000.
