Missing WI Man Found Dead After Crashing Car In Illinois

Benjamin Oberto was last seen leaving a restaurant in the Chicago area Wednesday night. After he was reported missing, police found his vehicle overturned and partially submerged in a creek at the bottom of an embankment, Illinois State Police confirmed.

A video circulating online appears to show the incident, with a woman throwing coffee at a man in a "Palestine" shirt, who pleads with the woman to "get away from [his] wife." Police believe the 64-year-old woman "instigated an altercation" with the couple at a suburban Panera Bread.

Community Honors Fallen CPD Officer Enrique Martinez At Wake

Martinez was killed during a traffic stop on a vehicle. Police say a 23-year-old who was on electronic monitoring also fatally shot the driver of the vehicle.

Killer Remains At Large 1 Year After Man's Homicide: Cops

The 30-year-old was found shot in the back on the front porch of a home. Police said he was an only child who had emigrated from China "to pursue and education and citizenship." He had recently been engaged to be married at the time of his death.

Ex-NFL Player Told Cops He Had Nothing To Drink During DUI Arrest

A tequila bottle was found in the car he was driving, police said. Police stopped the former player's Mercedes after it stopped at a green light, let a backseat passenger out to urinate, and stayed at the green light for another 10 seconds after the passenger got back in the car.

"I told the defendant there was an attorney in the lobby that’d been retained for him and asked him if he wanted to speak with him," a detective testified. Under cross-examination, he admitted he misspoke — he never told Crimo that a lawyer that had been hired to represent him was in the lobby asking to speak to him.
