More IL Red Lobster Restaurants Closing: Report
The restaurant chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May to recoup some of the losses for its "Ultimate Endless Shrimp" promotion.

ILLINOIS — Almost two dozen more Red Lobster restaurants, including three in Illinois, will close in the coming days as part of the company's ongoing bankruptcy dealings, according to a report from CNN.
The restaurant chain abruptly closed more than 50 restaurants after it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May to recoup millions of dollars in losses as a result of its "Ultimate Endless Shrimp" promotion.
The deal last year was intended as a limited-time offer but brought in enough new customers that the chain added it to its permanent menu in June 2023. Customers gobbled it up, and the chain reported fourth-quarter 2023 losses of $12.5 million, Patch reported.
