More Snow Possible, Bitter Cold Sticks Around Illinois For The Weekend

ILLINOIS — A few more chances of snow are possible through the end of the week, starting with possible snowfall on Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday will have a high of 27 degrees before more cold is expected for the weekend. And again, another round of snow is possible Thursday.

"A more widespread 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is expected area-wide Thursday night into early Friday morning," the weather service said.

The brief "warm-up" of temperatures will last through Thursday afternoon, before cold settles in again for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The high for Friday is 20 degrees, with wind chills as low as 20 below zero on Friday night, according to the weather service.
