Trio Charged With Armed Robbery, Teen Pointed Gun At Customer: Police
Two teens and an adult man have been charged with armed robbery after police said they stole alcohol from a grocery store and flashed a handgun at a customer. Their bicycles and a loaded gun, along with a high capacity drum magazine and the stolen alcohol, were found, and the three were taken into custody.
Woman Shot On Porch; Ex-Boyfriend Captured: Police
Police received a call just before 10 a.m. reporting a woman with a gunshot to the leg. A search at a nearby home was unsuccessful, but police say they later found the suspect hiding out in another town.
Stabbing Injures 57-Year-Old Man; Woman Arrested
Police say the 20-year-old woman continued to struggle with the victim until the knife was taken away from her. According to authorities, the incident began as she was arguing with a man and woman in the kitchen of a home, and the man struck her with a belt to end the argument.
Police Evacuate Patrons From Dumpster Fire At Rec Center
A witness told police she saw two juveniles throw firecrackers into the Dumpster at the rec center.
Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding With Car
Police said the crash happened Friday when a car made a left-hand turn into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
Earthquake Hits Illinois, Registers 3.4 Magnitude
Some residents reported being jolted awake by the quake or thinking a car had hit their house.
