ACROSS ILLINOIS — July 4, 2022, is almost here, which means its time to grill some burgers, watch some fireworks and dress your pet in the most obnoxious red, white and blue attire you can find. We want to see photos of the most patriotic pets in Illinois whether it's an iguana in an Uncle Sam costume or a Great Dane in an American flag tutu.

Here's how to get your pet featured in our Patriotic Pet Roundup this Fourth of July:

1. Email lisa.farver@patch.com by 4 p.m. on June 30.
