Rainy, Windy Weather Before Weekend Warmup In Chicago Area
Winds are expected to pick up Wednesday evening, bringing rain through early Thursday. Warm temperatures are set to return Saturday.
ACROSS ILLINOIS — Windy weather and rain are expected before giving way to a warm weekend in the Chicago area.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), winds are expected to pick up to as high as 15 mph Wednesday evening. Rain is likely after 3 p.m. Wednesday and again Thursday morning.
Locally heavy rainfall is likely late Wednesday into Thursday east of I-55 and across northwest Indiana.

Throughout Thursday, the chance of rainfall is up to 90 percent. Winds may gust up to 30 mph Thursday, when temperatures are expected to dip as low as 46 degrees.
Friday will bring a 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. before temperatures start to inch up to nearly 60 degrees. Friday afternoon and night are set to bring more wind, though, with gusts that may reach 40 mph amid temperatures as low as 43 degrees.

At last, Saturday promises more pleasant weather, with highs of up to 69 degrees. Brace yourselves for even better temperatures Sunday, when NWS calls for highs of up to 76 degrees.
