ACROSS ILLINOIS — Oh, say, can you see if you have any photos of your furry friends decked out in red, white and blue or spangled in Stars and Stripes? It's time for Illinois Patch's 2024 roundup of Fourth of July pet pics. Read on to see how to get your pet added to this coveted photo spread.

1. Email lisa.farver@patch.com by July 1 at 5 p.m.

2. Include the subject "Patriotic Pets"

3. Attach a festive photo of your pup, kitty, gecko, tortoise, aged cicada, etc.

The photos will be added to an article that, not unlike the excess cardboard from fireworks, will drop on July 4.
