Snow Chances Again, Slippery Travel Possible In Chicago Area

The weather service said that a period of snow is expected late Thursday afternoon into the evening, especially north of I-80.

ILLINOIS — Parts of the Chicago area will see some snow to close out the work week as a low-pressure system brings the potential for accumulating snow and slippery travel Thursday night through Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

"A storm system will bring another chance for accumulating snow to close out the work week, mainly for areas north of Interstate 80 and near the lake," the weather service said.

The high is 36 degrees for both Thursday and Friday.
