Snow Chances, Milder Start To Week Before Chilly Temps Return To IL

A dense fog advisory is also in effect Monday morning for the Chicago area.

ILLINOIS — A dense fog advisory starts the week on Monday; which calls for visibility of 1/4-mile or less in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is in effect for McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Grundy, Kankakee, Cook and Will counties through 11 a.m. Monday.

The weather service is calling for a mild start to the week, with a chilly end. Monday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 57 degrees.

Temperatures will turn chillier as the week goes on, with a high of 42 on Tuesday, 40 on Wednesday, 35 on Thursday, 33 on Friday and 30 on Saturday.

There are also a few chances of snow throughout the week, the weather service said.

"We're watching a couple of chances for some light snow, first Tuesday night into Wednesday a.m., then again late Thursday/Thursday night," the weather services said on its Facebook.
