Snow Could Impact Friday Morning Commute For Chicago Area

Below normal temperatures will continue this week and into the weekend for the Chicago area.

ILLINOIS — As chilly conditions continue through the week and into the weekend, there will be some chances of snow for the Chicago area.

"A period of accumulating snow is expected across much of the area late Thursday night into Friday, with the highest chances for at least one inch of snow around and east of I-55," the National Weather Service Chicago said on its Facebook page.

This snow is expected to bring slippery travel for the Friday morning commute.

The high for Friday will be 30 degrees, and the below normal temperatures are expected to continue into the weekend, according to the weather service.

Saturday will have a high of 28, and Sunday a high of 30.

Additional chances of snow are possible on Sunday and Sunday night, according to the current forecast.
