Some Starbucks Coffee Sold In Illinois May Include Shot Of Metal: FDA
The FDA recalled 200 cases of Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot in seven states after some of the bottles were found to contain metal.

ILLINOIS — Illinois consumers who have purchased bottles of Starbucks beverages for a pick-me-up may be at risk after federal officials said the drinks may have a shot of an unwanted ingredient in them.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Pepsico, which distributes Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot energy drinks, has recalled 200 cases of the beverage in seven states, including Illinois.
The drink distributor said that some of the 15-ounce glass bottles of the beverage of the Vanilla espresso-flavored drink may have metal fragments, according to a consumer warning posted by the FDA.

The recall was posted last week and was started in August in seven states including Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. The recall did not specify what retailers may have gotten the contaminated coffee drinks.
Consumers who have the product on hand should not consume it, the federal agency warned. Residents may also return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
