Spirit Halloween Opening 50 Illinois Stores: Here's Where

ILLINOIS — Attention, those who love all things Halloween. Spirit Halloween plans to open 50 stores across Illinois this Halloween season, and we've got the entire list of where they will be.

Some of these Spirit Halloween stores are already open, but the majority of these stores will not open until the end of August/September, says the company.

Spirit Halloween's real estate strategy is to "ideally look for temporary three-month leases that include a kick-out clause," the company said on their website.

"Since Spirit locations open on or about September 1 and remain open through November 1, our ideal lease would run from mid July through mid-November," continued the company. "We like to locate our stores in power centers, strip centers, free-standing stores, major downtown retail locations and in major malls surrounded by a national retailer mix. Our aim is to set up in communities that have 1) a population of approximately 35,000+, 2) living within a 3-5 mile radius, and 3) with a car count of at least 25,000 cars per day."

Here are all 50 Spirit Halloween locations already open, or coming soon to Illinois, for Halloween 2024:

• Opening this month in the former Office Depot, 175 South Randall Road, Algonquin
• Already open in Alton at 303 Homer M Adams Parkway
• Coming soon to Arlington Heights in the former Tuesday Morning at 460 E. Rand Road.
• Opening in September in the former Sears at 3 N. Randall Road in Batavia.
• Already open in Bloomingdale at the former HHGregg, 340 West Army Trail Road.
• Opening this month in the former Macys, 1615 E. Empire Street, in Bloomington.
• Opening this month in the former Charming Charlies, 635 E. Boughton Road, in Bolingbrook.
• Already open in Bourbonnais at the former Carsons, 1600 Illinois 50.
• Coming soon to Carbondale at 1265 E. Main St.
