Forecasters predict that a scattered mix of wintry precipitation will hover over the area between midnight and 4 a.m. Saturday before finally giving way to drier conditions. Some areas could possibly wake up to a dusting to a half-inch of snow as winter attempts to hold on for dear life.

Saturday will produce more clouds and highs only in the low-to-mid 40s. Wind gusts could reach up to 20 mph before the sun finally makes its presence known on Sunday. Temperatures for the second half of the weekend will reach the mid-50s before another round of rain and possible thunderstorm arrives for the overnight hours, forecasters predict.
