Storms Possible Thursday, Friday Before Dry Weekend Weather For IL

Both Saturday and Sunday will have highs in the 80s.

ILLINOIS — Storms are possible to end the week on both Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers and storms will develop Thursday afternoon, with a potential for an isolated strong storm near the Illinois-Wisconsin border, the weather service said.

The high for Thursday is 75 degrees, and Friday will be even warmer with a high of 80.

Storms will again be possible on Friday afternoon, mostly for areas south of Interstate 80, according to the weather service.

After Friday, "mostly dry and seasonably warm conditions are expected through the weekend," the weather service said on Facebook.

Saturday and Sunday both look to be dry and sunny, with a high of 84 on Saturday and a high of 85 on Sunday.
