'Summer-Like' Warmth To Return To Chicago Area

ILLINOIS — A gradual warm-up is on the way after a few weeks of below-normal temperatures for the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service. The week ahead is also expected to be mostly dry, out of the possibility for sprinkles on Tuesday night, the weather service said.
Temperatures will start out cooler at the start of the week, with only a high of 75 expected on Monday. Tuesday will be slightly warmer, with a high of 79 degrees expected.
By mid-week, highs are back in the 80s, and warmth will be back to "summer-like levels," the weather service said. The high on Wednesday is 82 degrees, 86 on Thursday and 87 on Friday.
