Sunny Skies, Mild Temps As 'Quiet Weather' Settles In For IL Weekend

Forecasters are predicting sunny skies for the next three days with daytime temperatures remaining in the 40s before pushing 50 on Monday.

ILLINOIS – Illinois residents who love cold and snowy conditions and who may be disappointed with this winter’s mostly mild weather patterns so far this season won’t see a change anytime soon as forecasters are calling for temperatures to remain calm in the coming days.

The National Weather Service is calling for “quiet weather” this week with temperatures remaining on the mild side this weekend after a dip in temperatures on Friday. Temperatures are forecasted to remain in the mid-to-upper 30s on Friday before reaching into the mid-to-upper 40s on Saturday and Sunday, forecasters predict.

Residents will see the sun throughout the weekend and into Monday, the National Weather Service said. The most weather excitement in the region is likely to be breezy conditions north of Interstate 88 on Saturday after some possible patchy fog overnight Friday into Saturday.

Temperatures on Sunday could push 50 degrees on Sunday after overnight lows on Saturday will remain in the upper 20s and lower 30s. The same is expected on Sunday night into Monday when overnight clouds will give way to clear skies on Monday when temperatures will again be in the 40s and could reach 49 on Monday.

The next chance of any precipitation will come on Tuesday when scattered showers could arrive in the evening hours with temperatures expected to push 50 degrees. Rain is likely on Tuesday night but temperatures overnight are expected to remain near 40. According to Accuweather forecasters, there is a 58 percent of a passing shower on Tuesday evening and even a 12 percent chance of thunderstorms given the mild temperatures.
