Sunny Start To Weekend, Before Rain On Saturday Night In Illinois

ILLINOIS — A dry start to the weekend is expected, before rain returns to the area on Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service Chicago.

Temperatures will be near 60, with a high of 63 on Friday, a high of 60 on Saturday and a high of 63 on Sunday.

"Tranquil conditions" are expected on Friday and Saturday, before the rain in the evening.

"A few showers may linger around into Sunday, but otherwise, dry conditions are expected into early next week," the weather service said on its Facebook.

When Will Chicago Area See First Snow Of The Season?

The start of the work week also looks to have temperatures near 60, with dry conditions, according to the current forecast.

Chicagoans may be wondering when we'll see the first snowflakes in the forecast, but there is no sign yet in the week ahead forecast through Nov. 14.

According to weather service data, the normal first date of measurable snow (.1 inches or more) is Nov. 18. The normal first date for one inch or more of snow is Dec. 7.
