Temps In The 50s, Mild Weather To End February

Highs will be in the upper 40s and even upper 50s all week, with chances of rain on Monday night and Wednesday night.

ILLINOIS — The start of meteorological spring is just days away, and mild temperatures are expected to close out February, the National Weather Service said.

Highs will be in the upper 40s and even upper 50s all week. According to the weather service, the high on Monday is 59, 56 on Tuesday, 57 on Wednesday, 48 on Thursday and 55 on Friday.


The mildest conditions will near and south of Interstate 80 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather service said.

The next potential chance for rain showers is Monday night, and scattered showers are possible again on Wednesday night, according to the current forecast.

Other than those chances of rain, the week looks to be partly cloudy and dry most of the time, and it will be breezy on Friday, the weather service said.
