ILLINOIS — Temperatures in the 60s will start the work week, before more "unsettled weather" comes later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will have a high of 64, and gusty winds up to 25 mph are expected. Winds will continue on Tuesday, which would have gusts up to 35 mph, the weather service said. Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week, with a high of 55 degrees.
The gusty winds on Monday, combined with low humidity and dry vegetation, will result in a localized elevated risk of brush fires on Monday afternoon, the weather service said.

Temperatures will start to warm again after Tuesday; with a high of 61 on Wednesday, 67 on Thursday and 80 degrees on Friday.

"Rain and thunderstorm chances will increase late in the week," the weather service said on its Facebook.

There is a chance of rain on Thursday, and a chance of rain and storms on Thursday night. There is also a chance of rain and storms on Friday and Friday night, according to the current forecast.
As of Monday, the Storm Prediction Center has given almost all of Illinois a 15-29 percent probability of severe weather on Friday.
