Nearly 100 Degree Temps After Heat, Humidity Build This Weekend In IL
Heat index values of 105 are expected early next week.
ILLINOIS — Two more days of "seasonable temperatures and comfortable humidity levels" are expected on Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday will have a high of 87, and Saturday a high of 86 degrees, before heat and humidity start to build.
Sunday will have a small chance of rain and storms north of Interstate 80, but temperatures will have a high of 94. Peak heat index values on Sunday could hit 100 degrees, according to the weather service.

Temperatures will also be hot for the start of the week on Monday and Tuesday. Monday will have a high of 97, with peak heat index values of 105, according to the weather service.
Tuesday will have a high of 94, with peak heat index values of 100.

"A few showers and storms may also be seen at times early next week, though confidence in that is low at this time," the weather service said on its Facebook.
