SafeWise, a security product review platform, looked at crime statistics for communities in the state to compile its 11th annual Safest Cities report. A total of 234 towns in Illinois met the criteria to be considered for the ranking.
The platform named Campton Hills, a village in Kane County, the safest city in Illinois for the second consecutive year. Pingree Grove and Hawthorne Hills follow suit. In fact, those three cities top the list of safest cities in the United States.
