2 Tuberculosis Cases Confirmed At University
The university said Thursday evening it received confirmation earlier in the day that two students tested positive for tuberculosis. In a statement to employees and students, the school said the students have been isolated and are under medical supervision.
Jewelry Store Robbers Wore Slenderman, 'Uncle Bobby' Masks: FBI
Four masked men believed to have robbed two Illinois jewelry stores are now suspects in a violent armed robbery spree of similar businesses spanning three states. The FBI-Chicago Field Office and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul are asking for the public’s help in identifying the quartet. The FBI has upped the reward to $15,000 for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

White Supremacist Convicted Of Hate Crime
In May, he and a 17-year-old youth were accused of carving swastikas and scrawling Nazi phrases such as "Heil Hitler" on playground equipment at an elementary school, a block away from his house. During an interview with police, the man said he specifically replaced the black laces of his Doc Martens boots with white laces because they represented "white power," according to the report.
IL Fire Marshal Probes Fires That Ripped Through 6 Homes
Five of the six homes were destroyed in the blazes. Firefighters encountered a delay when they had to run additional supply hose lines to a nearby hydrant.

Pipe Bomb Found In Home, Man Faces Multiple Charges
During the initial sweep of the house, officers discovered what appeared to be an improvised explosive device in the kitchen, along with additional bomb making material. A man is charged with possession of explosives or incendiary device, possession of firearms/ammunition without FOID and methamphetamine possession.
Teens ID'd In Fiery Crash That Killed 3
The crash killed two youths, ages 17 and 18, and a 47-year-old woman. The woman's daughter was also seriously hurt in the crash.
Teacher Was Intoxicated At Work: District
On Oct. 1, the teacher's department colleagues reported seeing an empty bottle of alcohol in the teacher's workspace. Though he denied drinking or being intoxicated at work, he was told in a memo, "Regardless of when you consumed alcohol, you were intoxicated while at work. You were still registering a high level of intoxication late in the afternoon, which means when you started teaching in the morning, you were likely even further impaired."
